Computer Setup

Description

Have a shiny new computer and have no idea how to set it up? I can get the infernal contraption working for you.

Also, many new computers come with a lot of stuff on them that makes them run slower. Its basically a form of advertisement. Companies pay computer makers to install trial versions of their software on your computer, hoping you will eventually buy the software. This makes the computer manufacturers be able to sell you the machine for a lower price. The technical term for this extra stuff is crap. This services includes the removal of it.

Computer De-Lousing

Description

Is your computer running slower than a golf cart hauling a piano? You may not need to turn it into a glorified doorstop yet. I may be able to clean it up and make it run like new.

Please note that information stored on the computer may be harmed in the de-lousing process. If you want them backed up, I can do this for you, but it will cost extra and take more time.

Cost

• No File Backup: $60 per hour (typically totals around $180)
• With File Backup: $50 for the backup, and then $60 per hour (typically totals around $230)

If you don't mind having all of the programs on your computer wiped out, we can treat this as a new computer setup, and I can just wipe the thing clean and bill you only $125 (or $175 if you want files backed up). You will need to have all of the discs that came with your computer though.

Periodic File Backup

Description

Computers can crash, and when you have information on them, that information can be lost when they crash. I can set up your computer to automatically back up your information to someplace safe. You will need to buy a second hard drive that is compatible with your computer.

Description

Got a new computer program or two you are itching to try out but don't have the foggiest on how to get it from that disc onto your computer? I can make it work for you.

Description

Got a new printer, scanner, mouse, keyboard, or some other computer-related contraption you want hooked up to your computer? I can hook it up for you.

Description

No, this does not mean I psychoanalyze your computer. Not my field.

Eying a new computer in a storefront? Really want to get a new computer, but not sure what to get? Trust me when I say a lot of the people who work in big electronics stores do not know the computer models they sell. I can find a computer model that will fit your needs, and probably help you find where to buy it for the best price.
